Amid umpteen of controversies and protests, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Padmaavat has certainly become the most anticipated movie of the year hands down. Fans want to witness the grandeur of an SLB film in this upcoming period drama. After a long tussle with fringe groups and CBFC board, Padmaavat is finally releasing on January 25, Thursday, pushing PadMan a couple of weeks later. But if you cannot wait for 3 days to watch this Deepika Padukone-starrer film, we have news for you.

According to the recent reports and what we saw on online movie ticket platforms, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat is coming a day earlier! Yes, you heard it right. But before you jump in joy, let us tell you that there’s a catch. Not everyone will be able to watch the film.

Apparently, Padmaavat will release only in 3D and IMAX 3D on January 24. And the 2D version of the film will be released in theatres on Janaury 25, which is the official release date of the film. Only limited paid previews are available for the film. The filmmakers wanted a selected first batch to watch the film in high definition and offer their opinions about it. Only few people in selected area will be able to catch Padmaavat on January 24.

On the online movie ticket booking platforms, tickets are only available in 3D and IMAX 3D versions. You can book the tickets on BookMyShow or PayTM.

The outrage against Padmaavat continues even after Supreme Court’s clear pass to the film. Rajput women are threatening to commit Jauhar if the film is allowed to release. They have accused the makers of projecting the Rajput queen in bad light.
