Delhi: Holiday declared for students of classes nursery to fifth in all govt and govt-aided schools

Torrential rain: All MCD schools, MCD-aided and Recognised schools to remain closed on Tuesday in Delhi.

Torrential rain: In the wake of heavy rainfall in the national capital, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi Education Department issued an official notice announcing that all MCD schools, MCD-aided and Recognised schools will remain closed for students on Tuesday (July 11) in Delhi. Along with this, the Directorate of Education in Delhi has also declared holiday for students of classes Nursery to fifth in all government and government-aided schools.

Schools to remain closed

"In view of the heavy rainfall and the alert issued by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) regarding adverse weather conditions in Delhi, it has been decided that all MCD schools, MCD Aided, and Recognised schools will remain closed for students on 11.07 2023 for the well-being of our students in light of the inclement weather conditions," reads the official notification. 

With this, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi Education Department has ordered to inform the students well in advance, about the closure of the schools on Tuesday so that they do not venture out.

HoSs and teachers to mark their presence in schools 

However, all HoSs and teachers are asked to come to schools as usual. In addition, all offices shall also be working, read the official notification.

On July 10, all schools in Delhi and its adjoining NCR cities of Gurugram and Noida remained closed in view of heavy rains in the region.
