A charismatic batsman, a diligent and a fearless leader, a cricketer who wore his heart on his sleeve, Sourav Ganguly is undoubtedly India's true 'Dada'. Post-retirement, Ganguly has been at the helm of cricketing affairs for Bengal and is currently the president of the Cricket Association of Bengal. He was also awarded the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award in India in 2004.
