Q: What is your strategy for Delhi assembly elections? What is your agenda?
Kejriwal: Today people have only one alternative – Aam Aadmi Party. BJP and Congress are two sides of the same coin. They are like husband and wife. They are partners in corruption. People have now realized everything. AAP is the product of Anna movement and whatever one may say, nobody can level any corruption charge against us. This time people will vote for honesty.
Q: You have become one man, one issue party. You only talk about Lokpal and corruption. What about your economic policy?
Kejriwal: Can you tell me what is the economic policy of Mulayam Singh's party? What is the economic policy of Congress and BJP? They don't have any economic policy at all. I have thoroughly checked it. They don't have any written policy. Their only policy is to ‘loot' the nation. As for our economic policies, we are neither capitalist nor socialist or leftist. We are just ‘Aam Aadmi'. We are not attached to any particular ideology. We'll borrow from any ideology, left or right that solves our problems. But yes, we firmly believe that government has no business to be in ‘business'. Business should be left to private individuals.
Q: What will be your top 5 priorities in case you become the Delhi CM?
Kejriwal: The first priority will be to implement Jan Lokpal , the anti-corruption law, for which Anna fasted for 13 days at Ram Lila ground. It will be implemented within 15 days. Second, audit will be ordered against power companies because that will help in reducing the tariff by half. If a company refuses for audit (This is what Sheila Dikshit complains of) then their license will be cancelled. Third, 40 percent of Delhiites don't get potable water. There is a water tanker mafia in Delhi which has got patronage of Congress and BJP leaders. All these mafias along with their patrons from Congress and BJP will be sent to Tihar jail. We'll provide 700 litres of water free of cost daily to Delhiites. Fourth, we'll form a commando force for protection of women and senior citizens. Every ward will have 20-25 commandos for providing security to women and senior citizens. They will not be meant for maintaining law and order. They will be there to come for help whenever it's needed by women and senior citizens. Fifth, we'll focus on education and health. We'll improvise conditions of govt run schools.
