New Delhi, Priyanka Chopra who is busy shooting for Zoya AKhtar's 'Dil Dhadakane Do' has cancelled her shoot and returned to India.
The actress quietly landed on Mumbai around 5.30 am on Sunday. The reason behind her hush-hush returning is a road in Andheri, which will be named after her late father Dr. Ashok Chopra, on June 10 on the occasion of his death anniversary.
The road will be called Lieutenant Colonel Ashok Chopra Marg and after the inauguration a small memorial will also take place, which will be attended by friends and relatives.
When Priyanka expressed her willingness to join the ceremony, director Zoya AKhtar and producer Ritesh Siddhwani agreed.
It is not hidden that Priyanka loves her father to the core and is often seen flaunting her 'Daddy's Li'lGirl' tatoo on her arm. Priyanka will be joining the cast and crew after 4 to 5 days. Dr Chopra served in the Indian Army for 27 years and also served as Head of Surgery at an Army hospital in Leh.
The actress was totally shattered after her father's death and got herself busy in movies. It will surely be a proud moment for Priyanka and her family.
