Valentine’s Day release: Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt's Gully Boy in cinema halls today

Still confused about how to celebrate Valentine's Day 2019 with your loved one? If you are a Bollywood fan or a movie buff, you can watch Valentine release Gully Boy, which is all set to hit the cinemas today. Starring power-packed stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, the musical drama has been directed by Zoya Akhtar. Ranveer Singh's and Alia Bhatt's last releases Simmba and Raazi respectively were both box-office hits and, now with the fresh pairing of Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh on the big screens, the excitement and expectations are simply doubled.

Gully Boy is loosely based on the life of Indian rapper Divine, who is known for songs like Meri Gully and Roots. Alia and Kalki Koechlin, play contrasting love interests. While Alia will be seen playing a lively young girl from a background similar to that of Ranveer Sing's character in the film. Kalki will portray the success he aspires to.

Gully Boy trailer came like wildfire and created much buzz everywhere.

Meanwhile, the Gully Boy jukebox completely meets the expectations of all the music lovers out there as it has songs by talented artists namely Spitfire, Ankur Tewari, Divine, Naezy, Rishi Rich, Dub Sharma, Raghu Dixit, Javed Akhtar, Midival Punditz & Karsh Kale, Jasleen Royal, Kaam Bhari and Ace to name a few.

Speaking about Gully Boy, Ranveer Singh in an earlier interview with IANS said, "It is the story which represents Mumbai in its true sense and the city is my home town, these are my people, this is my language so this is the story I am really attached to. It's an underdog story about a kid who broke through from great adversity in life to make it as a recording artist”

Directed by Zoya Akhtar, Gully Boy is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the banner of Excel Entertainment in association with Tiger Baby and is all set to hit the screens today.
