"Amit assured Arora if the latter paid Rs.5 lakh, he could arrange the job. Arora agreed to pay the amount," said the officer.
Arora paid Rs.3.5 lakh to Amit and agreed to pay the remaining amount after getting his son's appointment letter or at the time of joining.
In January 2013, Amit gave an appointment letter, asking Arora's son to join the Andhra Bank in Chandigarh as a probationary officer March 25.
However, Amit kept on continuously extending the joining date.
Finally, when Arora verified the letter, he found it to be fake.
