Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor, who is said to be approached for Sanjay Dutt’s upcoming biopic, has refused to talk about the movie.
Sonam stated that she can’t speak about her next projects until the makers doesn’t make any official announcement.
However, the actress did drop some hints about Dutt’s biopic saying that she would love to work with its director Rajkumar Hirani.
“I would like to work with Raju sir (Hirani) in whatever capacity I can”, Sonam said.
It was stated that the ‘Neerja’ actress will be seen playing an actress from the 1980s and 1990s opposite Ranbir Kapoor, who will portray Dutt in his biopic. Interestingly, she would be working with RK after a decade. The two had made their big Bollywood debut together with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Saawariya’.
Sonam was last seen ‘Neerja’ early this year and has won a lot of appreciation for her performance in the movie.
While many are expecting her to win a National Award for ‘Neerja’, the actress says she wouldn’d be disappointed if she doesn’t as Sonam is overwhelmed with the audience response.
"It is very humbling that people expect me to get the National Award for 'Neerja' but honestly speaking, I will not be disappointed if I don't get it. Because doing the film itself is very important to me," Sonam said.
The actress is currently busy with her upcoming movie ‘Veer Di Wedding’ which is being produced by her sister Rhea Kapoor.
Helmed by Shashanka Ghosh, the movie also feautres Kareena Kapoor Khan and Swara Bhaskar in lead roles.
