The 41-year old Sudhir Maskare killed his wife Deepti, 30, at their home in Mahalaxmi Nagar on September 11 after an argument. To escape arrest, Sudhir chopped Deepti's body into 7 pieces and then disposed off the body. After throwing away the chopped body Sudhir lodged a missing complaint of his wife with the police.
The horrible incident was brought to the notice of a head constable of Hudkeshwar police station through a call from Sudhir's native village Murdhara in Gondia district. The caller told the constable that Sudhir was deceiving the police.
