Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that even though Gujarat was a much-talked model, PM Narendra Modi was the favourite amongst all leaders.

Top ministers, dignitaries, and celebrities will be participating in the conclave to speak about the Modi government which has been in the power for the past 8 years.

The survey was conducted upon up the completion of eight years of the Modi government.

Rajnath Singh arrived on a 2-day visit to the Naval base in Uttara Kannada district to interact with personnel of the Indian Navy.

The Conference serves as a platform for Naval Commanders to discuss important maritime matters at the military-strategic level as well as interact with senior Govt functionaries through an institutionalised forum.

The ministry also decided to dispense with the requirement of the Integrity Pact Bank Guarantee (IPBG) to reduce the financial burden on the Indian defence industry, a move aimed at promoting domestic manufacturing.

"India has been successful in giving out the message that terrorism will be strongly dealt with. We will not hesitate to cross borders if the country is targeted from outside," Defence Minister Rajnath Singh stated. 

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, his cabinet colleagues, and senior government officials will also be present in the programme.

India and China have held 15 rounds of military talks so far to resolve the eastern Ladakh standoff. As a result of the talks, the two sides completed the disengagement process last year in the north and south banks of the Pangong lake and in the Gogra area.

India has previously rejected criticism by foreign governments and human rights groups on allegations that civil liberties have eroded in the country.

Jaishankar made the remarks while addressing a joint news conference with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh along with their American counterparts Secretary of State Tony Blinken and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin.

US said that energy imports from Russia are not banned or part of sanctions, therefore, New Delhi is not violating US sanctions.

US State Department Blinken will also hold a meeting with Jaishankar before the 2+2 dialogue. The last 2+2 Ministerial Dialogue between the two countries was held in October 2020 in New Delhi.

US State Dept in a media has informed that US State Secy Antony Blinken and Secy of Defense will welcome their Indian counterparts in Washington DC today.

According to the Ministry of Defence, the third list builds on the first list of 101 items and the second list of 108 items that were promulgated on Aug 21, 2020 and May 31, 2021 respectively.

CM Mann claimed that he met Rajnath Singh and had asked him to deduct the money from his MPLAD in return of a written statement that Punjab isn't a part of the country and took the military on rent from India.
