Dubai: Etihad Etisalat Company (Mobily) and BhartiAirtel have signed a master carrier services agreement to interconnect each other's MPLS, IPLC and IP transit services.
The partnership will enable Mobily and Airtel to enhance their reach not only in their respective countries but also across the globe to provide reliable, redundant and quality centric services to carriers and enterprise customers like banking, retail, government and SME, a company statement said.
The interconnection will be able to accommodate quick activation of circuits starting from 1 Mbps to 1Gps and also allow customers to choose from a variety of class of service (CoS) according to their strategic requirements.
The partnership will serve as a catalyst towards data traffic growth in the region as well as across the globe, said the statement.
Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) was established in 2004 by a consortium led by Etisalat, the UAE based telecom conglomerate. It is the second mobile service provider in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, whereas BhartiAirtel is a major global telecommunications company with operations in 20 countries across Asia and Africa.
