Hollywood actor Pierce Brosnan who is remembered for his portrayal of British spy James Bond made a comeback to television today. His return was laden with Bond-sque antics, only this time he sans a gun and had a weaponised tin pack of Pan Bahar.
This is after the actor has been roped in as the brand ambassador of pan masala company Pan Bahar, owned by DJ group, having interests in hospitality, IT, healthcare and FMCG sectors
In the one minute long commercial which released today, Pierce was seen at his dapper best, just like his Bond days. But to his fans’ surprise he urged them to eat pan masala.
The tagline of the campaign which is splashed across newspapers, hoardings and YouTube read, “Class Never Goes Out Of Style”.
Obviously from being the Bond, who stands for royalty quotient to being the face of a pan masala brand, is a huge leap for the 63-year old actor. This leap gave Twitter users something to talk about this morning, rather joke about.
The micro blogging website was flooded with jokes about his association with the brand. From one person suggesting that soon Pierce may shift to Kanpur to another saying that his failure to repay his loans made him take this step, Twitter users came up with hilarious jokes.
