Mohenjo Daro marks the comeback of superstar Hrithik Roshan after a period of two years.  Set against the backdrop of Indus Valley Civilisation,  the film also marks the return of Ashutosh Gowariker after six years, his last directorial being ‘Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey’ which was a dud at the box office.

‘Mohenjo Daro’ is the second movie in which the trio A.R. Rahman, Ashutosh and Hrithik have worked together, their last collaboration being ‘Jodhaa Akbar’.

Undoubtedly, a lot rides on this movie; Hrithik has to prove that he can still rule box office and Ashutosh reiterate that he is the same man who made movies like ‘Lagaan’ and ‘Jodhaa Akbar’.

A lot of money has already been shed by the producers to recreate the bygone era alive on the silver screen, media reports have it that as much as Rs 300 crore have been spent on it. Given the amount and time (a total of 252 days reportedly went into the filming), it is really important that the movie becomes a box office success.

While the numbers will take some time to be out, the ones who saw the movie this morning have something to say about it.

So far the movie has received mixed reviews. Viewers are in awe of Hrithik’s role of Sarman,  a young man who falls in love with Chaani (Pooja Hegde). The action stunts struck a right chord with viewers. Gowariker’s imaginative capabilities are another high of this movie, some said.

Here are some positive reactions for the movie:

However, the movie has received brickbats too. Some felt that too many sub plots is a huge let down. Also, people were not particularly impressed by Pooja’s role of Chaani. The script has been touted mundane which makes it boring after a while.

Here is what the Twitter users who were not impressed by ‘Mohenjo Daro’ wrote on the micro-blogging website.
