Mumbai: The story of 26- year- old Jennifer Rizvi is both moving and shocking. Jennifer has been abandoned by her in-laws as well as her husband for no fault of her own. She has been left alone because she is suffering from cancer.

Jennifer Rizvi was thrown out of home by her in-laws when they came to  know that she was suffering from cancer.

Even her husband who came to take care of her left after 10 days and the hapless woman had to be admitted to the ICU

At present, Jennifer Rizvi is admitted in the ICU of Tata Memorial Hospital and is in critical condition.

Since 2007, Rizvi the mother of two, lived with her husband, Mehtab Rizvi and in- laws in Kanpur.

As soon as the mother of two girls was diagnosed with throat cancer, her in- laws kicked her out. Her husband brought her and their daughters to Mumbai and left them at her parents' house in Grant Road.

Mehtab returned to Mumbai on November 3 to be with his wife and kids and took her to Bhiwandi to the house of one of his relatives.

But 10 days later, on November 13, he took her back to her parents' house in Grant Road. As they got down at the bus stop, he told her he would see her after finishing some work but never returned.

Now Jennifer's  family wants severe action to be taken against her husband's inhuman act.

Jennifer's family had earlier registered a case with D B Marg police against her husband and in- laws under sections 498 ( enticing or taking away or detaining a married woman with criminal intent) and 406 ( criminal breach of trust) of the Indian Penal Code.
