Bandi Sanjay Kumar is the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national general secretary and the present Lok Sabha member from Karimnagar in Telangana. He is the former BJP state chief of Telangana (2020 to 2023). In the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, Bandi Sanjay Kumar won the Karimnagar parliamentary constituency by defeating Telangana Rashtra Samithi's (TRS) sitting MP Boianapalli Vinod Kumar with a margin of 89,508 votes. Bandi Sanjay Kumar contested the 2014, 2018 and 2013 Assembly Elections from the Karimnagar Vidhan Sabha seat but lost on all occasions. In the 2014 polls, he was defeated by TRS candidate Gangula Kamalakar with a margin of 24,754 votes. In the 2018 polls, Bandi was again defeated by Kamalakar with a margin of 14,974 votes. Kamalakar made a hat-trick of wins against Bandi Sanjay when he was again defeated by him in the 2023 Telangana polls with a margin of 3,163 votes. He is again contesting the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2024 from the Karimnagar parliamentary constituency.
