LIVE: Rahul shares dais with Imran Masood's wife in saharanpur rally

Saharanpur: Sharing the dais with arrested Congress candidate Imran Masood's wife, Rahul Gandhi today disapproved of his controversial comments threatening to chop BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Modi "into pieces" saying they militated against the party's

Earlier Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi today broke his silence over ‘Chop Modi' remark of his party candidate Imran Masood whi is contesting from Saharanpur LS constituency.

Addressing an election rally in Ghaziabad, Rahul Gandhi made it clear that Imran Masood's  harsh remarks against Narendra Modi do not reflect Congress ideology.

“Today I'll be travelling to Saharanpur as well. Our candidate had given a speech 6 months back. I want to say that the words he had used did not reflect Congress party's thinking. We don't believe in anger. We have to talk to everybody with love, be it a friend or a foe,” said Rahul.

Rahul said that the BJP balloon will burst in 2014 again the way it was deflated by people in 2004 and 2009.

“In 2004, they had floated a balloon called 'Shining India'. The poor people deflated that balloon through ballot on Election Day. They come up again with a balloon in 2009, like sequel of Dhoom film, but it was deflated once again. Once again, they have come up with a new balloon called' Gujarat model'. This time they have filled gas, instead of air, in the balloon,” added Rahul.

“They say that give them 3 months, they will do what Congress could not do in 60 years. Why did they not implement 'one rank, one pension' scheme for army personnel? I also want greater representation for women even among senior Congress leadership,” said Rahul.
