On Saturday, when farmers went to the field to collect cattle fodder, a mob carrying weapons began firing at them. Two farmers were injured. Army jawans rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control. SSP Praveen Kumar intervened and calmed people of both communities.
In Kitas forest near Muzaffarnagar, a vegetable vendor was stabbed to death on Saturday. The 18-year-old vegetable vendor was returning with his cousins after selling vegetables, when three youths stabbed him to death. Hundreds of people rushed to the spot. Police have registered a case against three unknown persons.
