Cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has emerged as the single largest party as counting of votes for Pakistan general election 2018 entered the final stage on Friday. However, the PTI still short of the magic figure of 137 seats which is required to form a government in Pakistan National Assembly.
Imran Khan had appeared in IndiaTV's popular show Aap Ki Adalat with Mr. Rajat Sharma in November 2004.

"My role model in Pakistan is Muhammad Ali Jinnah, who was a principled person, a selfless politician. He is our idol. Jinnah joined politics in 1910 and got successful in 1947. When you chase a dream, you don't give yourself a time frame. You will invest your entire life to be successful in that", said Imran Khan on Aap Ki Adalat.
Imran Khan founded the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in 1996 and became its national leader. Khan contested for a seat in the National Assembly in October 2002 and served as an opposition member from Mianwali until 2007. He was again elected to the parliament in the 2013 elections when his party emerged as the second largest in the country by popular vote. He led his party to victory in the recently concluded Pakistan national elections. However, the PTI still short of the magic figure of 137 seats which is required to form a government in Pakistan National Assembly.
