Choco-Mousse!
All you need is:
Bowls - 1 large and 1 small,
Ice-water
Cream- 100 gm
Egg white- 1 large
Sugar- 50 gm (caster)
Dark chocolate - broken pieces would be great!
Chocolate bar - Shavings (for top-layer spraying, optional)
1 tbsp Rum- Optional
Note: If you do not wish to use egg, you can use 2 tbsp of Baking Soda instead!
For caster sugar, blend the sugar granules inside a mixture.
Preparation:
Step 1: Mix egg white, and caster sugar together (keep aside a tbsp of sugar for later use), and whip it strongly and continuously for about 5 minutes. Whip it until the mixture gets a bit dry.
Step 2: Take 3/4th of the cream and heat in a saucepan until it comes to boil, now remove the pan from stove and add broken chocolate piece one-by-one into the pan and keep stirring, until the mixture gets a smooth texture. Complete the process by adding all the chocolate pieces into the pan.
Step 3: Place the cream-chocolate mixture in a smaller bowl and put this bowl inside a larger bowl filled with iced-water. Whip the mixture continuously, after adding all the left over cream and rum, if used. Continue whipping and remove the bowl after the mixture is nothing less then the silk-mixture.
Step 4: Fold out the mixture and cream softly using a scoop or a spoon and pour it serving glasses. Add chocolate shavings on top!
Step 5: Just sit back and enjoy the Mousse with each bite!
