On Tuesday evening, the girl was forcibly taken away from her home, gangraped and thrown away in a critical condition.

The matter was reported at Labhpur police station on Wednesday, after which she was first taken to the block health centre and from there she was admitted to Suri district hospital on Wednesday night.

Additional superintendent of police Prashanta Choudhury visited the village and arrested the 'pradhan' (called modal by tribals) Balai Mandi and three others.

Police conducted house-to-house search in the village and arrested the accused.
