Ahmedabad: A sub-inspector of police and a police constable died in Junagadh district (330 km from here) as the car in which they were travelling hit a tree, police said.
PSI P M Chudasama and constable Alpesh Sadhu, who were attached to the State Reserve Police Force, died in the accident on the Prabhat Patan road, local police officer R M Chauhan told PTI.
A relative of Chudasama's, Sanjay Chudasama, who was injured in the accident, was taken to Junagadh Civil Hospital.
The car, headed towards Somnath, was being driven by PSI Chudasama and Sadhu was sitting beside him in the front.
Chauhan said the stretch of road where the mishap took place is narrow, and Chudasama might have been overcome by sleep at the time. Further probe is on.
