Firozabad:  A man was shot dead in Burj locality in Shikohabad area here by unidentified persons today, police said.

Ashok Yadav (40) was sprayed with bullets by a few people present at his house this evening, said police.  He then was immediately rushed to the hospital with the help of his family members and from there he was referred to Agra for better treatment but he died on the way.

Criminal cases were pending against Yadav and the shooting could be fallout of old enmity, said Circle Officer, Shikhabad Jagdish Singh.

According to Singh, eight to 10 persons arrived at Yadav's house and started firing.  The investigation is on in the incident.
