Uttarkashi landslide: The nearby Tehri Dam is said to be the reason for the landslide, said officials. Authorities have erected a sign board for commuters to avoid any untoward incident.
Odisha weather: IMD scientist HR Biswas said, "Rainfall to continue during next 24 hours. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely over West Odisha districts. Coastal districts will see moderate rainfall. Heavy to very rainfall is likely to occur in several districts including Sundargarh, Sambalpur."
Madhya Pradesh: IMD on Wednesday said that the state is likely to get extremely heavy rainfall on August 2. A red alert has been also issued for Thursday.
Delhi weather: Bountiful rains in July gave Delhi its best air quality for the month in five years, while the average maximum temperature also dropped to its lowest level since 2016.
Uttar Pradesh: The weather department has issued a red alert for Lucknow and neighbouring districts for today.
