A court in New Delhi on Tuesday sent Shahrukh Pathan, who brandished gun at a police head constable during the violence in Delhi's northeast area, to 14 day judicial custody.
Shahrukh Pathan, whose picture showing him pointing a gun at an unarmed policeman during the communal riots in northeast Delhi went viral on social media, was sent to three more days' police custody on Saturday, officials said.
Police have filed an FIR against Shahrukh Pathan, the man who pulled a gun at police constable Deepak Dahiya in Delhi's Jaffrabad during recent wave of violence. The FIR was filed post complaint by Constable Dahiya who had bravely faced Pathan who even fired rounds in air.
Shahrukh Pathan became infamous for his act of pointing a pistol at a policeman during Northeast Delhi violence. He almost came to being the negative face of Delhi violence. Shahrukh Pathan pointed gun at police on February 24 during violence in Delhi's Jaffrabad. He went missing soon after that as Delhi Police closed in to arrest him in subsequent days.
Shahrukh, the man whose gun-wielding photos were all over the television channels during violence in Northeast Delhi, was arrested by the Delhi Police today. Addressing a press conference, the Delhi Police said Tuesday divulged more information about Shahrukh.

Shahrukh, the man in the red t-shirt who had opened fire at police during violence in northeast Delhi on February 24, has been arrested by Delhi Police Crime Branch from Uttar Pradesh. Delhi Police will address a press conference at around 3:30 pm today.
