Earlier on Sunday, Bharat Biotech had said it had nothing else to add to an earlier statement where it said it is working on further improvements and upgrades to ensure that the production of Covaxin continues to meet ever increasing global regulatory requirements.
The vaccine manufacturer has further said that the company is slowing down the production of Covaxin for facility optimization.
The inoculation of children in the age group of 12 to 14 years against COVID-19 started on Wednesday with Corbevax vaccine.
