Former New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum has predicted the future of all the 10 sides participating in the World Cup.

India will begin their World Cup campaign on June 5 against South Africa. However, former New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum has predicted the side's future in the tournament.

McCullum posted a picture on his Instagram profile, where he noted down the results for all the sides participating in the World Cup.

The former Kiwi star predicted that India will cruise into the semifinal of the World Cup, but will face their only defeat of the group stage against England. The host side, meanwhile, is also one of the semifinalists for McCullum.

Both India and England are seen as the major contenders for the World Cup alongside Australia, who began their campaign in the tournament last night with a comprehensive victory over Afghanistan.

While England defeated South Africa, India will take on the Proteas next week to kick-off their tournament.

McCullum's third semifinalists were the Aussies, and he predicts that the race for the fourth spot will be a fight between four teams. New Zealand, West Indies, South Africa and Pakistan are McCullum's four teams who will battle it out for the final semifinal berth.

The former New Zealand opener also predicted that Afghanistan will beat Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, and that the Lankans will win only one game (against West Indies) throughout the World Cup.

Here are his full predictions:

McCullum's prediction on Bangladesh may come as a shock to few, as he believes that the side will only win one game in the entire tournament.
