Earlier Gujarat Chief Minister and BJP's prime ministerial candidatetargeted union minister Ajit Singh for joining hands with Congress just for the sake of power.
Addressing an impressive rally in Baghpat, Modi reminded people that Ajit Singh has allied with Congress despite the fact that his father Chaudhary Charan Singh was dead against Congress because of its anti-farmer policies.
“We admire Chaudhary Charan Singh but his own son has left his path. In a society if a son leaves the father's path, he cannot be accepted in that society and that too if he has done for power. Can you trust those who betrayed the path of their father? Let them keep flying planes but Baghpat doesn't want Hawai Netas.Baghpat needs a leader who will walk shoulder to shoulder with the farmers,” said Modi.
Modi also attacked Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi for saying in an interview that Modi is not an individual, he is an ideology.
“Recently, Shehzada said that Modi is not an individual, it's an ideology. I am proud of this. Our ideology is Nation is bigger than party. Our ideology is that India is everything for us, that society is bigger than family. We will live and die for the nation. My ideology says Mother India is supreme. Shahzada, you can't battle this ideology. Your whole family hasn't been able to match this ideology. You will never win against this ideology,” Modi said.
Modi appealed to the people of Baghpat to make BJP candidate Satpal Singh victorious from Baghpat so that the dignity of mothers and sisters can be protected.
“This is very unfortunate that today the dignity of mothers and sisters is not safe in this area. Which kind of government is this? That's why I have brought a policeman to this area. He will ensure dignity and respect for our mothers and sisters,” added Modi.
