Princess Margaret was born as Margaret Rose on 21st August, 1930 to parents King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. She is the younger sister of Queen Elizabeth II. Life of Princess Margaret dramatically took a turn when, her uncle Kind Edward voluntarily decide to side-line his throne and marry an American widow Wallis Simpson.And, as per tradition Margaret's father King George was bestowed the throne, with her elder daughter Queen Elizabeth presumed the next-to-throne and heiress. Margaret, though was her father's favorite. She was funny, naughty and her wicked sense of humor made anyone fall for her. Both sisters like normal kids used to fight like cats and dogs. They behaved liked twin, until Elizabeth was crowned the Queen, and Margaret found a train on her sister's dress and not her own. This was the time Margaret realized the difference from her sister.In a tragic event for the Britain's royalty King George passed away in year 1952, leaving the throne to her elder daughter Queen Elizabeth II. Princess Margaret was now 22 and with her age she matured into a fine British beauty. By the time she turned 18, Margaret was the most beautiful, sexy and charming princess around. Her image was the embodiment world's ideal princess; a chance that she never got.After World War 2, Margaret fell for an Army Group Captain Peter Townsend, who was also 16 years her senior. She took this proposal to her sister Elizabeth, whose coronation for the throne was still pending.Queen Elizabeth understanding the situation and its demand requested Margaret to wait for a year. During which the Church of England refused to put up with such marriage to a divorced man (Peter Townsend was also divorced).With much dismay Margaret herself deserted her plans to marry P. Townsend and accepted the proposal of Antony Armstrong-Jones, who was a photographer by profession.Antony Armstrong-Jones was born on 7th March to parents Barrister Ronald Armstrong-Jones, and his first wife Anne Messel. Soon after Princess Margaret and Antony's marriage, Antony Armstrong-Jones was bestowed with title Earl of Snowdon by Queen Elizabeth II herself. Theirs was the first Royal marriage to be broadcasted on TV. Princess Margaret crowned Countess of Snowdon.Princess Margaret's corsage was especially designed by Norman Hartnell. The couple was sent on their six-week honeymoon aboard the royal yacht, Britannia. Princess Margaret was famous for her troubled life and garnered many negative views. She was deeply hurt by her father's death and hence took support of her sleeping drugs. She was often linked up with several men her age. All her adult life, Margaret was a heavy smoker and drinker. The couple was blessed with two children born through C-sec on Countess's request, David, Viscount Linley, and Lady Sarah. The couple had a troubled marriage through-out. Margaret's first extra-marital affair was reportedly started with her daughter's godfather Bordeaux Anthony Barton, a wine producer. And just a year later she had a secret liaison with Robin Douglas-Home. Soon Margaret and Robin broke-up, and Robin committed suicide 18 months after their split.During 70's Countess Margaret was introduced to Roddy Llewellyn, 17 years her junior, whom she considered just a friend. The world though didn't seem to believe her. Till this point Snowdon's had drifted apart not legally though.In Feb 1976, pictures of Margaret and Roddy Llewellyn both in swimsuits surfaced the media glare on the front page of NOTW, News Of The World. This was a nail in coffin of Snowdon's marriage. And soon after Snowdon's publicly announced that their marriage had once and for all broken down. On July 1978, their divorced was finalized. Antony later married Lucy Lindsay-Hogg, but Margaret never remarried.Margaret has also been rumored to be romantically involved with actor Peter Sellers, Mick Jagger, and Australian cricketer Keith Miller (though these rumors were never proven).
