The school teacher, a resident of Puri district, who had come to join the Tikiri school in faraway Rayagada district, was facing accomodation problem.

Initially, she rented a room which was damp and leaky, and a good rented room cost more than half her salary. It was then that the school inspector Netrananda Dandasena met her in the market and offered her to allow her to stay in his house, where he had his daughters.
