It was later revealed in  CCTV footage that the children had covered their faces all throughout the function in order to hide their identities.

A police complaint has been lodged under Section 379 and a manhunt has been launched for the accused.

It has been alleged by the police that there is a gang operating in the city who trains these young kids to steal in order to make the robbery hassle-free.
