Business-oriented social networking site LinkedIn today released its first-ever ‘Top Attractors List’ unveiling the name of top companies where professionals want to work.

New Delhi: Business-oriented social networking site LinkedIn today released its first-ever ‘Top Attractors List’ unveiling the name of top companies where professionals want to work.

The list also reveals why these companies are good at attracting top talents across from the country.

During the survey, LinkedIn also found out what Indians were looking in an employer. It stated that opportunity for career growth (79%); a competitive salary (69%); and a healthy business environment (62%) were top three preferences.

"It is important that employers continue to build and invest in an employer brand that relates to, and resonates with both potential and existing employees," said Irfan Abdulla, Director Talent Solutions, LinkedIn India.

The California based company said that it used its extensive data from more than 433 million members to draft the list, which was created using data on job applications, views on companies' career pages, member engagement and retention of new hires.

Here is the list of the top 10 companies in terms of attracting and keeping top talent:

1. Flipkart

Founded in 2007 by Sachin Bansal and Binny Bansal, Flipkart is today is a place where risk taking is encouraged. The company was also the first to offer six months maternity leave and sabbatical options. The e-commerce company is registered in Singapore.

2. Amazon

The American electronic commerce and cloud computing company is the largest Internet-based retailer in the world. According to LinkedIn, Amazon has its foot on everything. Be it cloud-computing powerhouse, device manufacturer, voice-driven AI pioneer, and drone-delivering dreamer and has hiring needs diverse and demanding.

3. Capgemini

It is a management consulting corporation. The employees are busy catering 800 global clients 24/7, but the company finds ways to keep its people happy. Capgemini has set a Guinness record with a single Bollywood dance lesson for 4,000-plus employees.

4. Google

The search engine giant has 60,000 workers with mountains of food, A-list speakers, on-site massages and even benefits after death and more.

5. KPMG

The company's ‘global mobility program’ allows employees to work internationally. Its workforce has never been larger — now at close to 174,000 people globally. Last year, the audit and consulting company hired 24,000 new college graduates, a record, and created the largest partner class it’s ever had, promoting roughly 650 employees into that coveted role.

6. Deloitte

It is a Management Consulting firm. Deloitte is so in-demand as an employer that the company receives 1.9 million applications annually. The company has a strength of 2,25,000 employee. The firm is known for its accounting, consulting and tax services. Deloitte invests heavily in its employees, offering various training as well as education reimbursement.

7. Adobe

Adobe is an American multinational computer software company. The company is headquartered in San Jose, California, US. Constant reinvention is a hallmark of Adobe's culture. The company behind Photoshop and Acrobat is more than 30 years old and knows any of its 14,000 employees could come up with its next killer product. For that reason, it launched a program called "Kickbox" to help staffers develop and test ideas. Employees get $1,000 and lots of encouragement to refine their potential breakthrough.

8. HCL Technologies

The Noida based company is a leading global IT services provider. The company introduced a new management model called “Inspire,” which puts employees first and clients second.

9. Housing.com

This real estate firm was started by a team of students from one of India’s premier engineering colleges to solve the country’s real estate problem with technology. Months after setting up, the startup also attracted a bunch of investors, including Softbank. Today, it offers employees great challenges and opportunities for growth.

10. Ola

Started by Bhavish Aggarwal and Ankit Bhat in December 2010, the company brought a revolution in the taxi industry all across the country. It started as an online cab aggregator in Mumbai, now based out in Bangalore. The company offer employees innovative projects and is known for always trying something new.
