"We have arrested 23 people in connection with the incident. A few more have been identified and five teams have been formed to nab them," Dhule Superintendent of Police (SP) M Ramkumar told PTI.
Earlier on Sunday, five men were lynched on suspicion of being child lifters in Maharashtra's Rainpada village of Dhule district.
Assuring that police and other security forces were completely alert and ready to deal with the situation, Deb said that adequate arrangements were made to maintain law and order in the state.
