Once known as a hub of dirt and garbage, Mumbai's Mahim beach has been completely transformed and beautified. Plants and gym equipments at Mahim Beach are now attracting tourists. Total cost of the project is estimated to be around Rs 4 crore. The revamped section at the beach was inaugurated by Tourism Minister of Maharashtra Aaditya Thackeray.
According to the BMC, any housing society having five or more than five active COVID-19 cases will be sealed with all movement of residents being restricted.
In a statement issued on Friday, the BMC said 1,60,240 vaccine doses arrived here on Thursday night, comprising 1.5 lakh Covishield and 10,240 Covaxin vaccines.

Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has started vaccination for registered beneficiaries between 18 and 44 years of age. However, the vaccination will be held at only five centres in Mumbai.
