Shane Warne blasts Australia's domestic cricket after poor show against India

Shane Warne, who is arguably the greatest leg-spinner to ever grace the game, is surely not happy with the current Australian cricket team following their embarrassing loss against India in the recently-concluded four-match Border-Gavaskar series. Following the hosts' poor show, Warne has bashed Australia's domestic cricket circuit.

In a series of tweets, Warne didn't hold back and slammed Australia's Shield cricket and Grade cricket. "Not one LBW for the quick bowlers in the series and not 1 hundred by any batsman. Where are all the young batsman ? Shield cricket has turned into a game where players are pulled out whenever they feel like it. Grade cricket is going backwards ! Who’s making these decisions ?"

Earlier, Warne replied to his former teammate Mark Waugh's tweet where the junior Waugh said, "I think it is a easy excuse to blame the selectors when individuals and the team is not performing. As a player why do you constantly want feedback from the selectors why you are not in the team or why you have been dropped. It’s normally pretty simple not enough runs or wickets."

To which Warne replied, "Spot on Jnr, runs & wickets is what it’s all about, to many excuses being thrown around. The player knows - I think it’s time for some tough love not rested & cuddled. As for you Greg Dyer, I think it’s time for you to move on !"

For the first time in history, once the most dominant force in world cricket - Australia lost a Test series at home against an Asian team. Virat Kohli and Co. thrashed the hosts by 2-1 to retain the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Australia, who are missing the services of banned David Warner and Steve Smith, were completely outclassed by the Indian players in every department. The gulf in the batting department was evident throughout the series as none of the batsmen were able to score a century.
