The development has come a few days after a controversy involving the issuance of passport to an inter-faith couple hit the headlines.

A section of social media attacked Swaraj and the ministry for taking action against Mishra, claiming that he was just doing his duty. However, the minister took it on the chin and retweeted some of the tweets that were even abusive and communal in nature.

The ministerial meeting was announced during Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's meeting with President Donald Trump last July.

Seth tweeted her ordeal to Sushma Swaraj seeking help. "It was a humiliating experience, the officer was very loud & made attacking hand gestures," Seth said in her tweet to External Affairs Minister.

Swaraj, who is on a five-day trip to South Africa, attended the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) Foreign Ministers' meeting. 

In a major scare on Saturday evening, an aircraft carrying External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj from Trivandrum to Mauritius, on her way to South Africa, went incommunicado for 12-14 minutes.

Swaraj will also attend a series of events marking the 125th anniversary of the historic incident where a young Mahatma Gandhi was thrown out of a train compartment in Pietermaritzburg railway station, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said.

Swaraj’s comments came just ahead of a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif, who was visiting Delhi to seek India's support for keeping the Iran nuclear deal alive.

The minister said: "I am repeating again, at the Doklam faceoff site there is no change in the situation, status quo is continuing."

"Jab seema par janaze uth rahe hon, to baatcheet ki awaaz acchi nahi lagti (when people are dying on the border, talk of dialogue is not appropriate)," the minister said.

Canadian media reports cited police as saying that two unidentified men detonated a powerful improvised explosive device at the restaurant, injuring at least 15 people. 

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj who is on a two-day Myanmar visit met the country's de-facto leader Aung San Suu Kyi in Naypyidaw on Friday.

"If you are from J&K state, we will definitely help you. But your profile says you are from 'Indian occupied Kashmir'. There is no place like that," Swaraj said, responding to his request for help.

Sushma’s emphasis on greater connectivity between the two sides was an indication of the importance that India gives to boosting its ties with the Asean regional bloc as part of New Delhi’s Act East Policy.

Without a direct reference to Pakistan, Sushma Swaraj said the world community together must "wipe-out this scourge from the face of the earth".

The yatra was stopped by China in the aftermath of the military face-off with India last year at Doklam.

Swaraj's meeting with Wang comes just days after National Security Advisor Ajit Doval met top official of the ruling Communist Party of China (CPC) Yang Jiechi in Shanghai.

Sushma is scheduled to hold talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on April 22 to take forward attempts by both countries to reset ties strained by last year’s 73-day Dokalam military standoff.
