Ramesh Bidhuri

Ramesh Bidhuri is the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and a former member of the Lok Sabha. Bidhuri contested the Lok Sabha Election in 2009 from the South Delhi constituency but lost to Congress candidate Ramesh Kumar by 93,219 votes. However, he won two consecutive elections from the seat in 2014 and 2019. In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bidhuri defeated Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP) Devinder Sehrawat by 1,07,000 votes. In the 2019 Lok Sabha Election, Bidhuri retained the South Delhi parliamentary constituency by defeating AAP's Raghav Chadha with a big margin of 3,67,043 votes. Bidhuri also won three consecutive Delhi Assembly elections in 2003, 2008, and 2013 from the Tughlakabad Assembly constituency before losing the seat twice in 1993 and 1998. Bidhuri defeated Independent candidate Shish Pal Singh by 23,983 votes in the 2003 Delhi Assembly Election. Bidhuri retained the seat in 2008 by defeating Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) candidate Sahi Ram with a margin of 8,234 votes. He again won the constituency in 2013 by defeating Sahi Ram once again by 5,946 votes. Bidhuri has been pitted against Delhi Chief Minister Atishi and Congress candidate Alka Lamba in the upcoming Delhi Assembly Election from Kalkaji.
