6:25pm- D Raja: CPI supports Telangana Bill but it does not mean we support creation of smaller states in the country. Every case should be decided on its merit. New states should not be created with any hostility and Congress has to be blamed for all the fracas. We support Hyderabad as common capital for next 10 years. My party demands adequate funds for Seemandhra for setting up a new capital. We also demand adequate financial capital for Telangana.
6:15 pm: Dr Janardhan Waghmare (NCP) supports Telangana Bill saying the aspirations of the people of the region for last 58 years are now going to be fulfilled. Hopes, both Telangana and Seemandhra states will co-exist together peacefully.
6:11 pm: Shashi Bhushan Behera (Biju Janata Dal) says govt must examine the legal implications of this bill. Says, his party is not against separate Telangana, but demands that backward state like Odisha should also get special status.
6:06 pm: V. Hanumantha Rao (Congress) supports Telangana Bill. (An old TDP member standing for several hours with a placard, sits down. Deputy Chairman P J Kurien directs Parliamentary Affairs Minister to take him to the hospital). Hanumantha Rao says, even Kiran Kumar Reddy and Chandrababu Naidu supported separate Telangana, but both of them later backed out.
