Along with the highest number of female Parliamentary members, Rwanda is also the eighth cleanest out of 47 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa and 66th cleanest out of 178 in the world.
It is a member of the United Nations, African Union, Francophonie, East African Community and the Commonwealth of Nations.
It is spread over an area of 26,338 square kilometres (10,169 sq mi) and is is the world's 149th-largest country.
