In the latest advisory by the Delhi Traffic Police the Vikas Marg will be completely blocked in view of a protest at the Nirman Vihar metro station red light and has also advised commuters coming from Ghaziabad or by Delhi-Meerut Expressway and going towards ITO to take NH-24.

In view of the Nuh violence, members of Bajrang Dal are holding a demonstration near Nirman Vihar metro station after Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) called for a protest. Videos on social media showed Bajrang Dal supporters reciting Hanuman Chalisa near the Nirman Vihar Metro Station. Later, they tried to block Vikas Marg but were removed by police. On July 31, there were violent confrontations at Nuh Chowk in Haryana when several vehicles, carrying participants of the Brij Mandal Jalabhishek Yatra, were prevented from proceeding towards a Shiv temple in Nalhar.

Meanwhile, Delhi Police has heightened security arrangements in the national capital amid communal clashes in Nuh district in Haryana.

Delhi Police in its statement said, "Keeping in view the violence in some districts of Haryana, adjoining Delhi, elaborate security arrangements have been made at all sensitive places in Delhi and additional police forces have also been deployed where necessary." "Any attempt to harm Delhi's security and communal harmony will be dealt with strictly," Delhi Police added.
