“The bank authorities have informed us that the man (in their ATM CCTV footage) bears a resemblance to the accused wanted in connection with the attack on a woman in a ATM kiosk in Bangalore. We are in the process of collecting footage,” a senior police officer told PTI over phone from Kadiri.  

The matter is being further verified as the Bangalore assailant is also suspected to be behind the murder of an elderly woman in Dharmavaram town of Anantapur on November 10 and then using the ATM card of her son and withdrawing amounts from the ATM centre in Kadiri town, the officer explained.  

Apart from Andhra Pradesh Police, a team of Bangalore police is also in touch with the bank officials, he said, adding that no one has been arrested so far for the Bangalore and Dharmavaram incidents.
