Haryana: While a few minority community leaders are restricting the muslims to participate in the International Yoga day celebration in India on the name of religion, a village in Haryana thinks differently.
With more than 50% Muslim population, the village Nahar Majra, in Kurekshtera, welcomes the morning with men performing namaz followed by the Yoga session.
The Maulvi presides over the yoga classes where more than 50 youths do yoga asanas like Anulam Vilom, Kapal Bhati and laughter therapy.
By keeping yoga separate from religion, this small village has communicated a strong and positive message to the people who play the ‘religion card' to keep the society divided.
Maulvi Sahib, who teaches yoga to the people of village, has been practising yoga for last many years. According to him, Yoga Guru Ramdev has given a distinct identity to the yoga and pranayam.
