Dhruvben, along with Asaram's wife Laxmi and daughter Bharati has already obtained anticipatory bail.

Police sought 10-day remand, but the court granted police remand till Oct 22.

Kodekar told Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate V A Buddh that Asaram was not cooperating with the police and police was finding it difficult to question him thoroughly because of nuisance created by his devotees.

“Since the time he was sent to police custody, Asaram has been taken for medical check ups twice. Moreover, his supporters camp outside the ATS office and resorted to sloganeering", the prosecutor told the court.
