Mughalsarai, UP, Feb 2 : Nine Sashastra Seema Bal jawans were taken into custody on Friday evening at Mughalsarai junction by the Government Railway Force, after girl cadets from the North Eastern states alleged that they were teased and molested by the jawans on board the New Delhi-Guwahati Sampark Kranti Express.

GRP inspector Ratan Singh Yadav said, they got information from the control room that some SSB jawans had molested NCC girl cadets in Sleeper coach no S-6.  

At Mughalsarai, the girl lodged their formal complaint, and nine SSB jawans were taken into custody. If necessary, we will invoke the National Security Act against them, said Yadav.  

One of the girl cadets Savita alleged that the SSB jawans began making vulgar comments about them, the moment the train left New Delhi. They openly smoked inside the coach and blew smoke rings at us, she said.

The girl cadets first complained to the TTE, who informed the control room.
