Noida: A hostel warden of National Vocational Training Institute for Women was held for passing lewd comments to college girls after around 300 girls protested against him.

According to the police, the students reported that the accused Vinod Khraat used to drink on duty, and used to pass offensive comments whenever a student visited her for signing a gate pass.

The students staged a demonstration yesterday, demanding immediate removal of the warden.

While, the police arrested the warden immediately, the college principal, Upma Bhatia, denied the allegations stating that she never came across a single complaint against the accused and mentioned that Khraat has been associated with the college for last 10 years.

The students also alleged that the police is also trying to protect the accused.

The police, however, has booked Vinod Khraat under Section 509 of IPC.
