Meerut: The police today claimed to have solved the alleged abduction case of a minor ‘gangrape' victim here, saying the plot was allegedly hatched by her own father to teach a lesson to his neighbours.

The victim was rescued by police after she was found wandering alone late last night from the Bhavanpur police station police area, they said.

The abduction was just a ploy by her father Bittu Sagar, and the girl's age was 14 and not 10, as stated by him in his earlier complaints regarding her alleged gangrape in March, SP (Rural) M S Beg claimed.

After questioning the girl, it has come out that the girl was not even gangraped but she had ‘willingly' established relationship with a friend of her's, he further claimed.
