Three top level executives of Flipkart are leaving the company as newly-appointed CEO Kalyan Krishnamurthy starts building his own team.

Saikiran Krishnamurthy, who headed the supply chain unit Ekart; senior vice president Surojit Chatterjee, who headed product and chief marketing officer Samardeep Subandh are leaving the company, according to a report by the Economic Times.

The development comes two days after the former Tiger Global executive was on Monday appointed the CEO of the Bengaluru-based company, replacing Binny Bansal, who has now moved up to a newly created position of Group CEO.

Flipkart had hired all three executives in 2015 as it was aggressively looking to fill posts at top after a $2.6 billion in funding between 2014 and 2015.

Myntra founder Mukesh Bansal, who then headed Flipkart's commerce platform, was behind the aggressive hiring. Bansal himself left the company February last year.

In the latest reshuffle, announced Monday, new CEO Krishnamurthy will be responsible for Flipkart profit and loss (P&L) while Binny Bansal will oversee other businesses of the group, including payments (PhonePe) and fashion (Myntra, Jabong), in addition to finding new growth drivers for the group.

Krishnamurthy had joined Flipkart in June 2016 as head of commerce unit from Tiger Global.

Even in the new role, Krishnamurthy will continue to report to Binny Bansal, along with fashion unit Myntra-Jabong CEO Ananth Narayanan and payments unit PhonePe CEO Sameer Nigam.

Nitin Seth, chief administrative officer at Flipkart will now serve as its COO where he will be responsible for Ekart and customer experience. He will continue to be responsible for HR, strategy and corporate functions for Flipkart.
