The cabinet also approved promulgating an ordinance for companies law amendments to plug gaps in corporate governance and enforcement framework as well as improve the ease of doing business.
A bill to convert the first ordinance into a law is pending in Rajya Sabha where the opposition has been resisting its passage.
"Our stand on these controversial issues is old. There is no change in our stand. We have nothing to do with such issues," the JD-U President told the media here after holding his first Lok Sambad in 2019.

The All India Muslim Women Personal Law Board (AIMWPLB) on Sunday termed the triple talaq bill as one which will "ruin" families if its is made into a law, and said it will launch an agitation against it.
The Congress has said it is not against the legislation but certain provisions in the bill presented and has sought amendments.
The opposition, which had been demanding that the bill be referred to a 'joint select committee', staged a walkout when its demand was rejected by the government.

The Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Bill, 2018, commonly known as the Triple Talaq Bill, was introduced in the Lok Sabha on Monday.

"Each of the 93 organisational districts and six regional units will have a triple talaq pramukh and some of the victims are already working with us to eradicate this social evil," a party leader informed.
