Following the explosion, the building collapsed and eight others who were nearby and tasked to carry out specific manufacturing processes were injured.
According to the Principal, GMC the Oxygen plant is now functioning normally.
The fire officials said they received information about the explosion at 10.40 am, following which seven fire tenders were rushed to the spot.
Iraq’s Security Media Cell said forensics teams were at the scene of the blast and that more details would be released on the nature of the explosion, once investigations were completed.
