Police suspected the hand of somebody close to Manish being  involved in the murder.

The main accused in the murder, Harsh allegedly kept Manish's dead body in his car and roamed around the city for a while. After that, he along with two other accused then dumped and burnt the dead body in a jungle near BHEL. The accused then fled the place.
