Meanwhile, the two sisters, who are married, and had lodged complaints of sexual assaults against the father-son duo,told a newspaper based in Indore that Asaram and his son used to regularly summon girls for sexual activity inside their farmhouses.

Speaking to Jeetu Soni, editor of Sanjha Lokswami, a newspaper from Indore, the elder sister said she joined Asaram's ashram in 1997 and stayed for 10 years.

She alleged that Asaram sexually assaulted her in 2000, after she was summoned by Asaram's daughter Bharati to come out of the Goshala and enter a car in which both Bharati and a 'sanchalak' (manager) were there. "Two or three girls were also picked up, and were asked to hide their faces from Asaram's male devotees", she said.
